The most important thing

Tonight, Dean gave the girls his Sunday-before-Christmas-gift. They were snow globes, with little sparkling nativities inside. I smiled as I watched him explain to the girls that they could open this one present early because it was something to help them remember what Christmas was all about.


They tore open the pretty paper, discarded the bows and then oohed and ahhed coming to show me the tiny details that made their snow globe unique and important.

Hattie showed me the blue sparkles on Mary's robes and then turned to find a home for her new treasure and said, "I just love Jesus. He is just the most important thing EVER!"
